Abstract

The lethal doses of insecticides namely, profenofos, ethion and beta-cyfluthrin were evaluated against 3, 6 and 9 days old larvae of Earias vittella (Fab.) by residue film method. The beta-cyfluthrin was found to be the most effective insecticide having LCso value of 0.00537, 0.00574 and 0.00629% and relative toxicity of 12.4990, 13.4907 and 14.7519 in comparison to ethion against 3, 6 and 9 days of larvae, respectively. This was followed by profenofos and ethion.
